The Day I Succumbed to Peer Pressure

I said no, so the neighbor offered to pay for Buddy. I couldn't have that, so I caved. And Buddy was thrilled, which was worth it, I guess.

Allie used to call the ice cream truck "the song truck" whenever it drove by the house. She had no idea there was ice cream in that thing, and I wasn't about to tell her! Then one day it drove by and she said, "Hey, Mom, it's the ice cream truck!" Dang. I don't know who clued her in, but I was a little peeved. ;)

To M's credit, it was me who raided the change jar and gave Buddy the $2 in quarters for an ice cream. Technically, I was the one who gave in.

OH! You will live to rue the day! Once you cave, you can never go back! (At least your truck is actually a truck with a legitimate selling window - much nicer than the ones around here)

I think this is what Myndi referred to in her blog as "building rapport." We've all caved in to the ice cream man if you remember from the neighborhood.
